We got ourselves a big shoutout from one of the best comedians in the industry. We sent Godfrey both a copy of Tephlon Funk!® and a t-shirt. Today marks 20 years since Tephlon Funk!® was first created. It all started with just a simple doodle of a young girl in cornrows and the rest was history. June 2004 was the beginning of a long, arduous journey and there's much more down the pipeline. Thank you for all the support and sticking with this amazing IP over the years.
THEY'RE FINALLY HERE
You can now buy the official Tephlon Funk!® art books. Both were printed through Amazon's own Kindle Direct Publishing program. So they're independent releases from Metayer Ink LLC, we're very proud of how they came out. A lot of TLC was put into these releases, so any support is appreciated.

Quick update, a few months ago we made a backup Instagram account. It's mostly used to archive old posts from several years back and to have another spot on the platform. STORYBOARDS
Here's a peek at one of the storyboards put together by the folks at D'ART Shtajio in 2017. This was for the proof of concept animation we used to shop around the IP. Unfortunately, we didn't get the green light for an anime series. Though we had a lot of fun putting the trailer together, it was a very exciting time for us.

THE STAR REPORT
Sent a copy of Tephlon Funk!® to none other than Star, a legendary New York City radio host from the early 2000s. He not only gave the book a lot of praise, we also got advice on how we should move forward. He's now on YouTube hosting his own show independently so make sure you subscribe to his channel.

Stephane, David and Nicolas recently did an interview with the comic book outlet Previews World. In it, they discuss how Tephlon Funk!® was first illustrated and put together. This took a while to pull off since the team is split between New York City and Paris. Take a look at it, you might learn something new.
KREATURE
Back in 2017, we dropped this track along with the anime teaser we released on YouTube. Fat Jon put this together in no time since he was excited for the proof of concept as we were. It was produced out in Japan by D'Art Shtajio and directed by Hiroki Itai (Kill La Kill), you can checkout the track in the link below.

ALTERNATE BRANDS
In the world of Tephlon Funk!® it's a mostly accurate depiction of New York City in the mid '90s. Except for a few things that had to be changed to avoid any potential lawsuits. So Nicolas went back and changed some background images in the comic which ended up being a lot of fun coming up with different brand names.

A RANDOM MOMENT
Now this was a pleasant surpise, Music In Anime is a YouTuber we'd been following for a bit. He collects and reviews anime soundtracks on vinyl, along with their other variant releases. ANIME NYC 2021
We had ourselves a blast at this year's Anime NYC convention. Never thought we'd miss vending so much, but you know how it goes when we take that for granted. It was really awesome to meet & greet both old and new fans after a very rough 2020. Take a look at our dope ass setup from the event in the link below.

Fat Jon and Tephlon Funk!® creator Stephane Metayer also did an interview with Anime News Network back in 2020. Nicolas put together this dope mural in honor of MF DOOM who sadly died last year. Lately, he's heavily influenced Stephane's creative style of storytelling. BLACK HISTORY
The good folks over at Anime NYC gave us a big shoutout for Black History Month. We've been friends with the founders of quite possibly the best anime convention in New York. We highly recommend that you check them out at the Javits Center.
